Cystic Fibrosis

Our grandson Mac has Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States. Once again Mac and his parents, Amy and Pete, and brother Owen are participating in the Great Strides Walk-a-thon for Cystic Fibrosis.

Mac wrote this letter himself:

Hi my name is Mac. I am eight years old and in second grade. My favorite sport is soccer. My favorite game is chess. I have Cystic Fibrosis. I call it CF. CF is a disease that produces a thick layer of mucus all inside your body. Some people with CF are in and out of the hospital all of the time. I want everyone to donate so kids with CF who are sick can live longer. Thank you for donating!!!! From, Mac

Making a donation is easy and secure. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated!

Your money will not be wasted. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the most efficient voluntary health organization of its kind. It is ranked as the "nation's top health charity that won't waste your money" as quoted in SmartMoney, the magazine of The Wall Street Journal. In other words, they put your money to work as efficiently as possible with 90 cents of each dollar donated going directly to research.

We need your help to find a cure. Thanks for your support!"
