   1. Dr Mirkin’s forum is not moderated by any medical or health professionals.  A volunteer moderator is charged with removing obvious commercial posts and any commercial links.  Repeat posters of commercial material are banned without notice.   

2. Users that post in Dr. Mirkin’s forum are visible to everyone and users are able to modify or erase their own posts. Confidentiality of data relating to individual patients and visitors to a medical/health Web site, including their identity, is respected by this Web site. The Web site owners undertake to honour or exceed the legal requirements of medical/health information privacy that apply in the country and state where the Web site and mirror sites are located.  

3. Any information posted in the forum by Dr. Mirkin will be supported by clear references to source data and, where possible, have specific HTML links to that data. The date when a clinical page was last modified will be clearly displayed.  Any information posted by all other forum members is their opinion and is not endorsed or supported by Dr. Mirkin or by www.drmirkin.com 

4. Any claims relating to the benefits/performance of a specific treatment, commercial product or service mentioned in a post by Dr. Mirkin will be supported by appropriate, balanced evidence in the manner outlined above in Principle 3.  Claims made in posts by any other members are their opinions and are not endorsed by Dr. Mirkin or by www.drmirkin.com .  Commercial claims and links are not allowed on the forum and will be removed as soon as they are detected. 

5. No advertising or commercial links by forum users are permitted. Forum users express their own opinions and are in no way endorsed by the owners of www.drmirkin.com. Advertisements placed by google adsense appear on forum pages; the advertising policy of www.drmirkin.com is posted at http://www.drmirkin.com/recommend/index.html.
