Thanks in advance for any good referrals. My symptoms match ReactiveArthritis perfectly except I do not have the genetic marker and many blood, urine and stool tests shows no increased WBC or known infectious agents. But I have a history of poor response from OA medications, but excellent response from antibiotics. Cipro and Amoxy.

The Rheumatologists only want to call it OA. The orthopedic surgeons who did arthroscopic say my cartilage looks clean, no sign whatsoever of OA.

This episode I have had for now 3 months with no relief. I have had symptoms on/off for 23 years. They always ONLY go away with antibiotics and I can't get any Docs to believe me anymore. I am hurting and in desperate need. All my joints hurt, but mostly SI joint, hips, knees, ankles, wrists, etc. I had a severe paralyzing SI joint pain for 4 months last year, was seen by my orthopedic surgeon who did a numbing injection under xray into SI joint, no relief. I begged a new doc for antibiotics, and he gave me the usual 10-day dose and the pain went away by 80%, but tenderness is still there. I got a different orthopedic surgeon in 1992 to give me a large dose, 3-weeks, and 2-year constant pain in heels went away for several years. Now it is back again. Along with other symtpoms consistent, such as frequent urination that started at the same time.

I live in Central Texas, Williamson County.
What advice can someone give me on what I can tell my doctors, or what to look for in a new doctor?
My insurance company recommended looking for a pain specialist - what a waste of time that sounds like.

I too have the symptoms of ReactiveArthritis.  I see a A rheumatologist in Round Rock, but I will have to talk with his about these antibiotics.  I have seen a chinese wellness Dr. in Ft. Worth area also.  I would love to hear more about what you've tried and share more information with you.  Thanks T Warner
