![]() Topic: problem with excessive gasPosted: 04 Apr 2010 at 7:24pm |

My husband has always had a problem with gas. He has told me that he's spoken with doctors about it, but not been given any effective advice. He has diabetes and recently began taking metformin. I understand that that may be contributing to the increasing severety of the problem, but his problem is so excessive that our entire house is often rank with the smell and I don't dare go into public with him for fear of embarassment. Although doctors apparently don't see this as a serious problem, I'm thinking that they may not have an accurate picture of how extreme this problem has become. What is going on with him? Can this be better controlled? How can we get some assistance to solve, or at least drastically lessen, the problem?
