TRIAC WARNING FROM FDA

The Food and Drug Administration sent out a warning today not to take dietary supplements containing so called "fat burners" that contain a type of thyroid hormone called TRIAC. They are sold at gyms, health food stores and over the Internet. It is true that taking thyroid when you don't need it can help you lose weight, but taking more thyroid than a normal body produces can cause osteoporosis, heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, jitteriness, clots, and irregular heart beats.

Almost all over-the counter products for weight loss are either unsafe or ineffective. Yet most people would rather waste money looking for a simple way to lose fat and gain muscle, rather than doing something that works such as exercising more and eating wisely. The advertising for TRIAC is downright dishonest. I took this word-for word off the Internet:

"Triac is one of the new so-called resculpturing compounds that have hit the market. They can be used for both muscle gain and fat loss, depending on how they're used, thus allowing people to actually ""sculpt"" their bodies to the dimensions they want. Triac is unique in that it doesn't actually raise the basal metabolic rate (BMR) but, instead, selectively deactivates the metabolism in muscle tissue and activates the metabolism in adipose tissue. Thus, you can lose a significant amount of fat with absolutely no muscle loss. Thousands of people have now tried Triac and are in love with its effects. Many stack the Adipokinetix with it for a synergistic effect."

I hope that you will not buy TRIAC. Remember you were warned by the Food an Drug Administration that you are risking your health if you take it. The preposterous advertisements sound too good to be true, and they are.
